No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy

Forget The Road and Blood Meridian, this book is, in my opinion, Cormac McCarthy’s masterpiece. Set in Texas, straight-shooter Lewellyn stumbles upon a drug deal gone wrong and appropriates the abandoned $2 million drug money for himself. Unbeknownst to Llewelyn, psychopathic hitman Anton Chigurh is on his tail, and will do anything (and will kill anyone) to locate Llewelyn and the missing money. A cat and mouse chase between the two spills across the Mexico-United States border and back, as Sheriff Ed Tom attempts to follow and comprehend the chaos. - Cameron
