Jacket designed by Hans Tinsdall. Bound in brown buckram with spine lettering in gilt. Decorative end papers. Near fine in very good dust jacket. Dust jacket price-clipped, mild age toning along upper edge and very minor chipping at corners. Binding in near fine condition, tight, free of markings, gilt to spine remains bright and bold. Contents near fine, spraying to upper edge faded. Some minor foxing to edges. Otherwise, bright and fresh.

Hemingway's memoir, written during the final stages of his life, about his years struggling as a journalist and writer in Paris during the 1920s. A candid and powerful portrayal of both Hemingway's unique viewpoint and the beauty and romance he saw in the city. Published posthumously in 1964.
