Q: I can see a book that I wish to order as available in store but I can’t add it to my HH online shopping cart?
A: Only books available in stock at our online store are available to purchase online. Please contact your preferred Harry Hartog store and our friendly team will assist with your order.

Q: Can I pre order new release titles?
A: Yes, we have a Upcoming Releases page showcasing titles available for pre order. You can also pre order from your preferred Harry Hartog store.

Q: What are remainder marks?
A: They are a text dot or line on the top or bottom edge of a discounted book applied by the publisher. Remainders will not always be in perfect condition.

Q: Can I return or exchange my second hand book purchased online?
A: Yes, you can exchange or request a refund for a second hand book if the book fails the Consumer Guarantees. To discuss a refund or exchange on a second hand book please email the web team at onlineorders@harryhartog.com.au

Q: I’ve just placed an order and my card has been charged, where is my tax invoice?
A: A tax invoice will be included in with the item for delivery.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: yes we do, however we are working on allocating international shipping to our full range. If international shipping is not available when you check out, please email onlineorders@harryhartog.com.au and we will rectify the issue. 

Q: I forgot to flag my HH loyalty membership.
A: Existing loyalty customers will be flagged for the loyalty program as part of the order dispatch process. Every online customer will be added to the Harry Hartog loyalty program.

Q: Where do I see my Loyalty points balance and how can I redeem points?
A: Loyalty points are shown on the register receipt/ tax invoice. Loyalty points can be redeemed for purchases at a Harry Hartog shop once the customers spend has reached $200.

Q: Can I redeem my Harry Hartog Loyalty points online?
A: At present we can only accept payment via our secure payment gateway by credit card. Loyalty points can be accrued on all online orders and may be redeemed on purchases made at a Harry Hartog shop.

Q: When will my credit card be charged if I order online?
A: Your credit card will only be charged at the checkout on the Harry Hartog Online Store.

Q: I haven’t received my tracking information?
A: Orders are processed daily and we estimate that orders are despatched within 2 business days. Australia post tracking information is sent out as part of this despatch process. Pease check your spam folders. If it has been longer than 3 business days, please email onlineorders@harryhartog.com.au.

Q: Where is my book order?
A: Once processed at the webstore you will receive an email confirming despatch and a link to track your delivery via Australia Post. Delivery times will vary depending on the location that the is being sent to. If you have received your despatch information, please track you parcel by Australia post at https://auspost.com.au/mypost/track/#/search.

If delays are experienced please check in with your local Australia Post office and if your order hasn’t arrived after 3 weeks please email onlineorders@harryhartog.com.au.

Q: Do you offer express shipping?
A: Yes we do. Express shipping should be available for all domestic orders.

Q: My book has arrived damaged or incorrect
A: Please contact our online orders team. For information on Harry Hartog’s online returns policy, please refer to the Harry Hartog Returns Policy.

Purchasing Gift Vouchers

Q: I’ve purchased a voucher online, when will I receive my voucher?
A: Once your order has been placed via our online store, you will receive confirmation of your order.


When a gift voucher has been purchased on our online store, it must be created in our point of sale system to be valid and ready for use. Gift vouchers purchased via our online store are unique and will be emailed to you up to 24 hours following your transaction.

Please allow 24 hours for your voucher to be created, you will receive an email which will include a PDF attachment of your Harry Hartog Gift Voucher. The emailed voucher can then be forwarded to the recipient’s email address, and the voucher can then be printed for use in-store.

If your gift voucher has not arrived in your inbox within 2 business days from date of purchase, please check your email spam folders. For any questions regarding your voucher purchase, please contact onlineorders@harryhartog.com.au for assistance.

Q: Will my voucher be posted to the recipient?
A: Our Gift Vouchers are delivered to the buyer via email. The voucher can then be printed or forwarded on to the intended recipient. 

Q: Can I use my Harry Hartog gift or exchange voucher for online purchases?
A: At present we can only accept payment via our secure payment gateway by credit card.

Purchasing Bibliotonic Vouchers

Q: I’ve purchased a Bibliotonic Voucher online, what happens next?
A: Once your order has been placed via our online store, you will receive an automated confirmation of your order.

Your order will then be processed by our online team within 1 business day, and you will receive an email which will include a PDF attachment of your Harry Hartog Bibliotonic Voucher. The Bibliotonic Voucher will come in the form of a PDF. This can then be printed ready for use, and presented as tender for purchases at your Bibliotonic session in store, or forwarded to the recipient if a gift.

The Bibliotonic Voucher PDF will also include a link to the Bibliotonic questionnaire. Please follow this link to fill this in, so that we can match you to the best bookseller to complete your session. The store you have nominated will contact with you within 5 business days to book your Bibliotonic experience.
