First edition, second state. Frontispiece is labeled "Titian's Moses". Else, all first edition errors are present (on pp.37, 46, 414, and 465).

Bound in brown publisher's buckram. Gilt illustrated vignette to cover with bling margins. Titling, illustration, and publishers stamp to spine in gilt. 

Overall condition: good. Slight fraying to head and foot of spine. Slight wear at corners. Front hinge cracked and a bit loose. Free endpaper and first two leaves of prelims detached from binding.
