Exceptionally rare and desirable first impression classic. Third title in Montgomery's enduringly well-loved Anne of Green Gables series. Remains one of the most popular girl's stories of the early 20th century.
Bound in original vertically-grained pale green publisher's cloth. Cover and spine lettered in gilt, margins ruled in blind. Illustration of Anne on cover plate. Dating in Roman numerals on title page. Angus & Robertson sellers stamp on lower FBEP corner. Very good. Lacking dust jacket. Very well maintained. Minor markings to cover here and there. Cover illustration somewhat rubbed. Front hinge loosened slightly. Contents in near fine condition. Very few markings internally. Retains original frontis tissue guard. Overall, an impressive copy of a rare first edition classic.
