John Andrews was Australia's first architect to achieve international renown for his bold approach to design. This book presents a showcase of his work throughout his career. Contains over 200 images, plans, and diagrams throughout. Compiled and edited with contributions by Jennifer Taylor, prominent critic, writer, and former professor of Architectural Studies at Sydney University, who provides context and background.
Signed and inscribed to Paul and Wendy Reid by Andrews on front page recto alongside Paul Reid's signature. Newspaper article about Andrews by The National Times in April 1977 loosely inserted.
Overall condition: excellent. Some minor age-markings to softcover wrappers. Contents in fine condition, extremely well preserved. Fresh and bright, an overall excellent copy.

Provenance: From the library of Paul & Wendy Reid. Paul Reid is hailed as one of the minds who helped to shape Canberra. As Chief Architect at the NCDC, Paul's most important role was the organisation and construction of the New Parliament House. He also had a sizeable involvement with all of the major works associated with Canberra. His legacy remains celebrated in various forms at multiple universities within Australia.
