First edition of the final novel in the "first" Dune trilogy. Overall, third of six Dune books written by Frank Herbert. The Dune series is widely regarded as a pillar of the Science Fiction genre. Multiple film adaptations have been made of the series, recently to critical acclaim by director Denis Villeneuve.

First editions have become increasingly rare and valuable due to the enduring popularity of the series. The recent introduction into the popular zeitgeist through the success of the modern movie adaptations has only served to heighten this. A first edition of any book in this series, particularly of the first three, would make an incredible gift and a welcome addition for on the shelf of any collector or fan of the Science Fiction. Golden-Age or otherwise.
