Frida Kahlo
Frida Kahlo, 500-Piece Jigsaw
Great Art, One Piece at a Time
A 500-piece jigsaw celebrating Frida Kahlo's Self-Portrait dedicated to Dr Eloesser.
Frida Kahlo lived in San Francisco from 1930-31, and here she was treated by the pioneering doctor Leo Eloesser for her chronic medical problems resulting from a serious bus accident as a young woman. They became lifelong friends and to her dear 'doctorcito', she dedicated this portrait.
The artwork holds a striking story - Kahlo's pain from her health issues, the importance of religious and cultural symbolism to her, and her love for her friend.
Appreciate the beautiful details while you piece together this 500-piece jigsaw.
