Signed and inscribed to Wendy Reid by Yang on title.
Throughout, it charts the formation of a gay culture of activism through the 70s, the commercialisation of the gay culture in the 80s, and the devastating impact of the AIDs epidemic on gay people and their culture in the early 90s. Alongside the many photographs is Yang's candid narration, leading us through a powerful and complex era of sexual discovery, social admonishment, politics, love, and loss.
This book formed the basis of the 2014 documentary of the same name.
