Global Architecture, launched in 1970, was Yukio Futagawa's founding and most significant publishing project — the original series from which the entire GA publishing empire, eventually encompassing GA Houses, GA Document, Global Interior, and numerous other related series, would grow over the following decades. Each issue was devoted to a single major work of modern architecture, documented through Futagawa's own exceptional photography alongside detailed plans and technical drawings, bringing an unprecedented level of visual and documentary rigour to the publication of contemporary architecture as it was being built.

This substantial lot of twenty-seven issues, spanning the series' first six years of publication, offers a genuinely significant cross-section of the flagship publication through which Futagawa established his reputation as the pre-eminent architectural photographer and publisher of his generation. It also includes two GA Detail issues of particular note: dedicated single-issue studies of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House (1951) and Richard Meier's Smith House and House in Old Westbury — among the most extensively studied and celebrated individual houses in the canon of modern architecture.

Generally very good throughout. Shelf wear, more prevalent to some volumes at edges. Contents fine throughout, well preserved.
