Rare first UK edition of Rice's most famous classic. Comes in near-mint dust jacket.

Among the most famous vampire novels in history. Based on an earlier short story written by Rice in 1968, this novel took her just five weeks to write. While this work was met with mixed success upon publication, the sequel was an immediate success, selling more than 75,000 copies in its first printing. 

This first UK edition was published in the same year as the US first.

Overall condition: near fine. Other than some small and faint markings and creasing to dust jacket fold-ins, is in fine condition. Contents clear, fresh, and bright. A wonderful copy.
