A beautiful portfolio of costume designs worn by the legendary Joan Sutherland during her opera performances. Designs range from her first performance in 1958 through to the 1980s. Each opera features a detailed introduction by Bonynge who offers a deep insight into Sutherland's approach to each of her roles. Bonynge, husband to Sutherland, was her musical partner and conducted most of her performances. The cover of the volume is blind stamped with the score of Bellini's Norma, one of Sutherland's most famous roles.
