Folio (324 × 245 mm). Quarter white vellum with vellum tips over brown boards, elaborately blocked in gold, silver, bronze, and black in a design by the artist. Spine lettered in gilt. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Tan pictorial endpapers. 195, [1] pp. Fourteen tipped-in colour plates, including frontispiece, plus numerous monochrome tail-pieces, all by Niroot Puttapipat. Housed in orange-brown cloth solander case with gilt-titled leather spine label. First edition thus. Limited edition of 1,000 numbered copies, this being number 24. Includes an original hand-printed copperplate etching of "The Leopard," signed and numbered by the artist. Part of the Folio Society's "Cherished Tales" series of illustrated limited editions.

Near fine. A few small spots to vellum spine and fore-edge of textblock; otherwise fine throughout. A stunning publication that presents beautifully.
