Both volumes housed in a deep-blue buckram solander case. Main volume bound in full red goatskin. Spine has five raised bands with compartments illustrated in gilt-and-colour. Cover features titling and illustrated vignettes by David Eccles blocked in gilt-and-colour. All edges gilt. Contents printed on Furioso paper. Profusely illustrated throughout in colour. Commentary volume bound in dark-blue cloth, illustrated and titled to cover and spine in gilt.
Overall condition: Near fine. Volumes excellently preserved in solander case and very likely unopened (spines remain tight on both volumes). Very mild rubbing to gilt on spine compartments of main volume with some very small darker markings to covers. Some markings internally to solander case. Otherwise, all contents present and in fine condition.
