Lioness

Emma Lindberg travels to northern Tanzania, East Africa, in the footsteps of her scientist mother, who died there from a virus when Emma was seven years old. One of the first things she finds is two camels, a mother and child, who have clearly lost their riders. The camels lead Emma, and handsome black African Daniel, to a chilling site. A crude grave has been constructed from rocks, which they lift away to find Englishwoman Laura Kelly. Laura's young daughter, seven-year-old Angel, has witnessed her own mother die from snakebite, and is now out in the wilderness alone. As Emma and Daniel begin a desperate search for young Angel, it becomes clear that Angel isn't alone. She has been taken in by a lioness named Moyo, who is caring for Angel as if she were another of her cubs. Emma, Angel and Daniel are transformed by the magic of Africa and by each other.
