At the beginning of 1994 Oasis were unknown, though signed to Creation Records. Things changed with the release of their album 'Definitely Maybe', which became the fastest selling British debut album at the time.

That year was one of meteoric change, with Liam and Noel Gallagher setting off on a major tour. Oasis: Their Breakthrough Year is an evocative collection of photos of Oasis taken during that time by Rock photographer Paul Slattery. Having been tipped off to their potential by producer Mark Coyle, who shared early versions of 'Definitely Maybe' when the band where still in the studio, Paul spent the year closely recording their burgeoning success; from sparsly attended shows around the UK to sold-out performances in the U.S. and Japan.
