A facsimile reproduction of the original copy of the second edition of Selectarum stirpium Americanarum historia in the library, Art & Archives Collections of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. One of the great books of botanic art.

Housed in purple buckram solander case which is lettered lettered in gilt. Main volume bound in quarter goatskin and illustrated cloth. Titling to spine in gilt. Cover illustration by Neil Gower. Contents printed on Natural Evolution paper by Castelli Bolis. Main volume accompanied by envelope featuring three loose prints, as well as a smaller commentary volume by Christopher Mills.

Overall condition: Fine. Impeccably preserved. All volumes and contents fine in like solander case. A spectacular copy.
