Bound in original blue-green publisher's cloth. Front and rear cover margins ruled in blind. Spine lettering stamped in gilt and ruling in blind. 

Overall condition: Damaged. Ex-library copy. Library markings on spine. Hardcover binding separating at spine, contents are loosening - particularly towards front. Spine separating at head, stabilised with archival tape. Markings and rubbing across cloth boards. Contents in good condition. Mild age toning throughout.

First edition. London: Order of the Trustees, 1902. 4to. Original dark-blue publisher's cloth. Pages: ix, 344, 53 plates: I-LII. Numerous tables, diagrams, and B/W photographs throughout.
