First Colonial Edition. Predates the first UK edition by a week so that they could be released simultaneously in the UK and the colonies. Covers blind stamped profusely in blind. Titling to cover in blind and to spine in gilt.

Overall condition: Very good. Sans dust jacket. Bindings are in excellent condition, some minor rubbing at corners. Contents have some scattered foxing, more prominent in preliminaries and towards edges. End papers slightly age toned. Rear advertisement pages toned, as expected with the inferior paper stock generally used.
