Bound in original burgundy publisher's buckram. Gilt titling to cover and spine. Upper edge gilt, others uncut. Very good. Binding sturdy and tight. Some markings to cover boards and spine. Spine slightly darkened. Wearing to spine edges, creases, and corners. Corners slightly bumped. Cover titling gilt remains bright and bold. Contents in excellent condition. Some speckling to endpapers and preliminaries. Paper is clean and bright. Plates clear and detailed. Folding maps and panoramas in good order, sturdy and free from tears. A finely published volume, with high-quality paper stock that has remained fresh.
