I’m a Caraval stan and obsessed with Christmas so of course I read this the second I could. It is well titled as the book itself is *spectacular* I even enjoyed what is normally the boring page with the publisher details (“originally published in Valenda” for example). The illustrations are gorgeous and add to the enjoyment of the book. The map of Valenda at the start is drawn inside a snow dome for goodness sake 💕💕 I do have to wonder though if, in between writing books, Garber had been reading a bit of ‘dark romance’ because she uses some of those tropes here beautifully. But don’t worry, it’s still suitable for those of us who are not grown adults. My only issue with this books is that there isn’t enough Jacks. Please for the love of all in this world, give us another Jacks novel. - Megan, Inventory Manager
