The Girl with No Name

A picture book for older readers, The Girl with No Name pairs the quiet, atmospheric prose-poetry of Finn Moore with the superb and unique art of Wendy Straw. It subtly explores themes of inner strength and isolation, the conquering of loneliness and fear, and the the tentative broaching of friendship across language and perhaps cultural boundaries. It is an extraordinary work of illustrated literary fiction, simple yet layered, immersive and powerful.
