The Horus Heresy art books in a single volume, gathering the four Visions books in one hardback.
The Horus Heresy is the founding catastrophe of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the civil war in which the Emperor’s warrior-sons, the Primarchs, and their Space Marine legions divided, and in which Horus turned against the Emperor. The four “Visions” volumes told the story in chronological order, from the Great Crusade and the origins of the Heresy to the climactic siege of Terra and the duel of Horus and the Emperor, with text by Alan Merrett. The art books were issued separately from 2004 to 2006, and this 2007 hardback collects all four, with [an exclusive short story, The Kaban Project; confirm]. The illustrations include work by John Blanche, Adrian Smith and Michael Phillippi among many others.
First collected edition. Combines four earlier BL Publishing art books: Horus Heresy Vol. 1: Visions of War (2004), Vol. 2: Visions of Darkness (2004), Vol. 3: Visions of Treachery (2005) and Vol. 4: Visions of Death (2006). Large quarto. 413, [iii]pp. Profusely illustrated throughout, with artwork by many contributing artists from the history of Warhammer 40,000. Original black hardcover boards in the original illustrated dust jacket, unclipped. Near fine. There is some foxing to the inner faces of the dust jacket and the occasional spot internally, and the contents are otherwise clean, crisp and bright.
