Established in 1987, and focusing on landscape art, the objective of the Macquarie Group Collection has always been to support emerging artists. Today, it is one of the most vibrant and respected compilations of contemporary Australian art with many artists featured in the collection, such as Shaun Gladwell, Janet Laurence, Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori and Ben Quilty, now among the country's most respected practitioners.
