London: MacLehose Press, 2010.

A deluxe collector’s set of the Millennium trilogy, with a fourth volume of afterword material and a poster of the books’ international covers.

Stieg Larsson delivered the three novels of the Millennium trilogy to his Swedish publisher and died in 2004 without seeing any of them in print. They were published in Sweden between 2005 and 2007 and became an international publishing phenomenon after they appeared in English from MacLehose Press, in Reg Keeland’s translation, from 2008. This boxed set gathers the three novels with an Afterword volume, which includes essays by people who knew and worked with Larsson, and his correspondence with his Swedish publisher. The folding poster that comes with the set reproduces the cover designs the books wore in various countries, a reminder of how widely the trilogy travelled.

Deluxe boxed set edition. First edition thus, first printing, with the full number line to the copyright page. Translated from Swedish by Reg Keeland. Four volumes, large octavo. Comprising The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest and a separate Afterword volume. The volumes are bound in differing colours of cloth, titled to the spines and with illustrated vignettes in gold to the covers. Housed in the publisher’s slipcase, with a folding poster reproducing the cover designs of the books from various countries. Near fine. The slipcase shows some shelf wear, and the volumes are generally clean and bright, with a little foxing along the edges.

Please note: This is a large and heavy boxed set. For international shipping, there may be additional charges. If so, we will contact you after purchase.
