Bound in original maroon publisher's cloth. Cover and spine lettered in gilt. Gilt-blocked illustration vignette on lower cover. All edges uncut. Very good. Binding sturdy. Some rubbing at edges and corners, very mild fraying to spine head. Bump to rear upper corner. Cloth colours still bold, gilt remains bright on cover, a touch faded on spine. Contents in very good condition. Some scattered foxing, more prominent to prelims. Rear index section and some plates show some mild age toning.
