Limited collector's edition, published on the 150th anniversary of Edward Fitzgerald's original translation, published by Bernard Quaritch in 1859. This facsimile is based upon the first edition, "with some minor emendations" (title page verso).
Housed in navy blue buckram solander case. Volume bound in quarter vellum and Persian blue cloth. Spine titling stamped in 22-carat gold. Upper edge gilt, others uncut. Cover illustrated by Ninroot Puttapipat stamped in three shades of gilt. Top edge gilt. Features 16 mounted colour plates illustrated by Ninroot Puttapipat.
Overall condition: Unopened. In mint condition, unopened in original tissue shipping wrappers. Solander case in fine condition.
