Harry Hartog's review

The Silence Factory is something so different from what I’ve read and seen recently its difficult for me to describe. Collins’ uses her descriptive flare to transport us to Industrial England and the ‘wild’ Greek Islands and into a world where a special kind of silk woven from spiders creates a world of silence. The idea of silence as a means of respite from the industrial world while also being a cause for insanity and emotional breaking was so interesting, I was immediately caught in the webs of this story. If you’re after something new, something different, something queer then definitely give The Silence Factory a go! - Rohan, Harry Hartog Macquarie

The whole world disappears when you enter

THE SILENCE FACTORY

In the Factory, the looms clatter all day. Cobwebs found in ancient Mediterranean glades are spun into a precious fabric that silences the world.

But what happens to those who fall under its spell?

And who is harnessing its power?

After all, a world of silence can bring peace, but it can also conceal the deeds of the wicked...

The Silence Factory is an enthralling story about complicity, desire and corruption - a novel to lose yourself in.

'Breathtaking' GLAMOUR
