Welcome to your worst nightmare.
Seventeen-year-old Eli has been in a near fatal car crash. His therapist, parents and older brother all try and help him deal with the fall out as he works through the trauma of it a year on. The crash has left him with no memory of the months following the accident, as well as emotionally numb.
Desperate to feel something again, he winds up at an underground club called Traumaland. Here he joins countless other emotionally numbed people, who pay a fee to enter virtual reality simulations of nightmarish scenarios through the points of view of various characters. But when he enters the story of a boy called Jack, he discovers there is a darker truth to the club. A truth that sets Eli on a dangerous journey to find the source of his own trauma.
