Bestselling Australian author Lynette Noni turns her hand to contemporary romance in this swoony YA novel, perfect for readers wanting a high stakes lost-in-the-wilderness adventure brimming with tension-filled romance.
A GIRL HAUNTED BY TRAGEDY.
A BOY SEEKING REDEMPTION.
A WILDERNESS AS BEAUTIFUL AS IT IS DEADLY.
Zander Rune was the darling of Hollywood until he fell from glory and was labelled a problematic bad boy. His public image needs fixing-fast-or he'll lose the role of a lifetime, and all his dreams with it.
Charlie Hart is a regular teenage girl who despises everything Zander represents. But thanks to her scheming best friend and an ill-timed social media competition, Charlie finds herself pretending to be Zander's biggest fan on a four-day reality TV adventure led by renowned survivalist Rykon Hawke.
When their trip goes horribly wrong, Charlie and Zander are left stranded in the wilderness. No Rykon, no film crew, no rescue. The only way they'll survive is if they trust each other. But in order to do so, both will have to let go of the ghosts of their pasts, and just maybe find themselves-and one another-in the process.

oh. my. god. i have always said i’m not a romance reader but Lynette Noni has changed my mind. Wandering Wild is a romance set in australia’s blue mountains. It follows the lives of two complex characters and how one big misadventure has triggered a whole new adventure for the two young characters. Zander is struggling with an image problem (and maybe more?) and Charlie is struggling with more tragedy then any young person should. Filled with laughter and heart wrenching honesty you get pulled this way and that, this book is like one big skydiving adventure. The preparation, the jump (or push iykyk), the freedom and joy and then the landing and Lynette has executed it perfectly!!!!!
The story was very much fun and the writting was very easy to follow. Although I wish we got just a little bit more of the friendship dinamic between Zander and his friends and Charlie and her friend (eg in between chapters) to get more emptionally invested into their respected friendships and in turn their own relationship.
My daughter loves her autographed book from her favorite author! 🩷 She read the book in one day! She could not put it down, she said the plot twist was just tooo good! Well done on another fantastic book!
Loved it
Lynette Noni is an absolutely incredible author and I’ve loved everything she’s written, so I was pumped for this book. I’m a sucker for books that make me feel things: books with high emotional stakes, complex characters and relationships, books where I can celebrate the characters’ successes and grieve their losses. That said, I’m also an absolute sucker for a happy ending. I love when characters fight to the ends of the earth for what matters to them, and eventually achieve it. As a queer, disabled teenage girl with mental health issues, representation and a diverse cast of characters is also very important to me. I love it when books can change my perspective on certain issues and increase my empathy for groups of people. Wandering Wild does all of this and more. So do Lynette Noni’s other books. Go read them.
