The first major monograph on one of Australia's best known and loved artists- Wendy Sharpe- published to coincide with the major survey exhibition held in early 2011 at the National Trust S H Ervin Galery, Sydney. The book is lavishly illustrated with artworks and photographs from all phases of the artist's career and includes a foreword is by Jane Watters, director of the S.H.Ervin Gallery and an extensive essay by Courtney Kidd. Sharpe is a prolific artist, winner of two Portia Geach Memorial Awards for Portraiture and the Archibald Prize. She was also the Australian War Artist in East Timor and has had hundreds of group and many solo exhibitions in her career.
